living without a fridge for ten days was a fascinating experience.  once it was repaired and cleaned and stocked with food i gave it a big squeeze and listened to it hum away happily.

last night i talked to my biology prof about his experiences working as a physiotherapist and it sounds like all of my concerns are valid and none of my hopes are feasible.  that's okay though, because i told him it sounded like all his complaints are matters of the society we live in, and that what i really want is to live in a different country, probably something scandinavian.  i got really excited wondering about things like what i could grow in my garden, what types of trees grow in those regions, precipitation levels, whether they use celcius or fareinheit, what grammar structure their languages have, etc.

this afternoon my brezsnyscope really puzzled me:

The bad news is that you are, metaphorically speaking, in jail. The good news is that a recent visitor sneaked you the key to the locked door of your cell. The weird news: You have not yet realized that you have the means to escape, since your visitor did not actually tell you that the key is hidden inside a certain thing he or she left behind. The great news is that I'm here to inform you about the situation. Once you locate the key, Scorpio, slip your hand between the iron bars so you can fit the key into the keyhole from the front. It won't work from behind.
let's see... things that visitors have left behind: the refrigerator's new defrost timer, kristjanne's empty whisky bottle, blake's belt, jeremy's zombie board game (I won)... ?
