re: my antisocial tendencies.
i really love hanging out with my friends. i've also been having a wonderful time hanging out with some specific new friends over the past few weeks. tonight i have the opportunity to do both. i also really love early spring; the way the air smells and the way the sun feels just make me happy. so, i'm faced with hanging with friends i have a great time with, going to a free show in the LES, and enjoying the lovely weather. however, for some reason, i don't want to change out of my pjs to go--i just want to snuggle in my bed and watch tv.
why? who knows. while i'm a very social person, i certainly have some antisocial tendencies. ;)
but, i do have the energy to get showered and go to dinner with my cousin (really just a close family friend i've known since i was born) who lives a few blocks away. i've decided to re-evaluate going to the LES after said dinner. hopefully by then i'll have some energy and motivation, because i know that if i actually go, i'll have a great time.

also, this weather reminds me (and forever will) of the end of my freshman year in college, the first spring i actually lived in nyc proper, and the song "in the sun" by joseph arthur.
