So, the procrastination continues . . . with less than 12 hours before my exam.
Oh, excellent. (I'm an idiot.) Whatever.
Anyway, the most recent means of procrastination has been to count the number of Ani DiFranco concerts I've been to. Yes, folks, that's right--counting the number of Ani concerts.
This came about because I was wondering if I had hit 20 yet after the last two Ani shows I saw in November. Well, here's the final total:
Since October of 2001, I've seen TWENTY THREE (23) Ani DiFranco concerts.
I am officially the biggest stereotype EVER. LOL!
And, ya know, it's not even that I'm that INSANE of a fan. I mean, Ani is amazing and I love her music, she's definitely one of my top 3 favorite artists ever, and has never wavered from that position since I first heard her music--and that's big. However, I'm not like...crazed. I think it's just that I know that each concert is a new and interesting experience, she always plays different stuff, and I ALWAYS have a wonderful time.
So, yeah. 23 shows. Damn. I don't even want to think about the fact that this means I've spent at least $1,300 on seeing her live. *FACEPALM* She should sell a lifetime pass...
Also, if I average three to four shows a year for the next 40 years (assuming she continues to tour that frequently) I could see 150 Ani shows in my lifetime.
