zomg update!

SO it's been forever since I've updated--my bad! Thus, here it comes in bullets:

SCHOOL/FINALS: This semester is over. FINALLY. Finals didn't suck as much as anticipated, but they did suck a great deal. Approaching law school was new for me, and I figured out the best way to do this law school thing only by actually doing it--by taking finals. So, next semester should be easier because I'll know what to do to prep for finals from day one. This finals period, however, was two and a half weeks of suck. BUT, it's over. The end was rung in with an awesome party that was tons of fun--it was great to see everyone outside of the school environment (read: DRUNK) and I got to know the people in my class as friends rather than academic peers...it was nice. It sort of felt like a mix between a work holiday party and a group release, LOL! Re: the semester being over: excitement mixed with sad. I'm not going to have my favorite prof. next semester, but I think we'll see each other as friends, so that's good. Also, I was just getting into Criminal Law, and now it's over...but whatever, lol. Next semester is Contracts (ick!), Property (ick!), Constitutional Law (this semester should be better--more modern issues), Legal Writing (not so bad, I like to write), and Civil Procedure (ZOMG YAY!!!) I ordered my books already (I love books, w00t!) and now just have to get my grades for last semester *crosses fingers*!!!

BROKEN: I think my foot might be broken--stress fracture, or from falling off a curb during finals (whoops...) But who knows. Should be going to get an x-ray tomorrow, my dad (a doctor, very House-like) has diagnosed it as a stress fracture exacerbated by the curb-fall...he thinks I'll have to wear one of those fun boots. (ohfuck)

HOME/CHRISTMAS!!!!!: Home is excellent. Thursday was my last final, I cleaned in the afternoon and partied Thursday night. As said, it was made of awesome. Friday I was hungover *hangs head in shame* but for the first time EVER, the hang over was TOTALLY worth it. Saturday I screwed around at home in Brooklyn and then drove to NJ--on the way I stopped and did ALL OF MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING (except for 3 people who live in Brooklyn). It was pretty sweet. I spent an assload of money, but whatever. When I got home my dad was also home, and the three of us actually hung out and it was ok. I did like (literally) 16 loads of laundry (NICE!) over the weekend, wrote Christmas cards (whoops, a little belated due to finals, lol), wrapped gifts, and decorated with my mom. Christmas Eve at home was fun, and Christmas was AMAZING--tons of presents in the morning and then off to the cousins on Long Island (near Queens/the Bronx) for the meal. It was great! I love my family sometimes. There was some drama with my parents on xmas eve, but I'm choosing to ignore that and move on. Whatever. My dad can be an asshole sometimes, but he's Dr. House, so it's cool (lol). I love being home, but there's not long enough! I have so much shopping to do (to stock up so I don't have to shop in Brooklyn for basic stuff all semester) and I have to go get an x-ray before my dad leaves. I also have to see a BUNCH of people before the semester starts, because I know that if I don't, I won't see them as much during the semester. OH!!! PRESENTS ZOMG!!! I got some great stuff, highlights include:

KITCHEN AID MIXER!!!!! OK, I know I'm a domestic dork, but this is awesomely exciting. I asked for it, but it turns out that my mom had already bought it!!! LOL! I guess my hinting worked, after all...hehehe

NEW CAMERA!!! My old camera (digital) is totally broken and fucked up. I've used it constantly and it's just...dead. It's 3 years old, so I think I did pretty well, but still--I needed a new one.

AND a beer mug (glass) from Tiffany's--they decided that since I'm in law school I'd use a beer mug more than jewelry this year...they were right. Now I can get drunk on a Monday afternoon in style...hehehe

Those are the three biggies--but I also got some throw blankets, books, make-up, candles, a paper-shredder, etc. Good times were had by all. I got my dad some stuff for his iPod nano (that my mom got him this year) and an ornament from Tiffany's. I got my mom an iPod shuffle, some books, and a sweater. All in all, it was a great Christmas gift-wise and family-wise.

NYE: No plans thus far for New Year's Eve. Hailey isn't having a party this year, I don't want to have a party, and there's no way in hell I'm going to pay 100 bucks to go to a bar I'd otherwise go to for free. Anyone have any good ideas?

SO yeah...break=love. So much to do, but it'll be great to actually have the time to do it!!! :D AND I get to see my friends, w00t. Also, Christmas is my fav. holiday ever. XD

Now, if only my foot weren't broken...LOL
