I read a poem that does this with Shakespeare's plays and thought it was neat, so I tried it for my Poetry class. :3
For Walt’s Accomplishments
(And Then Some)
A poisoned apple saved by a kiss
A puppet made real from a single wish
An elephant soars and reaches new heights
The Great Prince rules after winning his fights
Ichabod is chased by a man with no head
A toad driving a carriage yells, “Full speed ahead!”
Running from the ball, a slipper is left behind
Down the rabbit hole, there are new things to find
A young boy flies; second star to the right
A tramp and his lady stroll through the night
A spinning wheel causes a lifetime of sleep
White fur and black spots that dogs try to keep
A senile, old wizard trains a future king
Papa Bear takes a boy under his wing
A butler withholds fortune from Madame’s cats
An outlaw defies a prince’s ludicrous tax
A kidnapped orphan is found at Devil’s Bayou
A boy makes friends with a bear called Pooh
A dog and fox are the best of friends
A determined detective solves crimes to no end
A cat in New York befriends an unlikely crew
A mermaid kisses her fins adieu
Beauty is found within a beast’s cold heart
A boy teaches a princess to be street smart
A new king reigns with a mighty roar
A forbidden love stops a rising war
A hunchback hides and watches the world
A demigod saves the day and gets the girl
In a man’s world, a woman saves the day
A boy raised by gorillas sees things a new way
Though with childhood you may have parted,
It was a mouse with which it all started.
I skipped about 8. Know which is which?!
