i do love me some four day weekend.
i'm kinda burned out, though. a four day weekend will do that to you. heh. i sound like i've been on a whiskey and psilocybe binge for days. but i haven't. what have i been doing, do you say? hold on, let me turn the music down.
well, now, what have i been doing? i got my ipod fixed on friday. or rather, i got it replaced with one that works. oh, wait, back up a tad. let me take you back to wednesday:
MY IPOD IS BROKEN! woe. whoah.
now fast forward to now. it's replaced! yeah!
and i had some good soup on friday. i spent the day w/ julia. bashful smile.
saturday... i did lots and lots and lots and lots of homework. jeez. so much homework. i don't realize how much homework i have until i sit down and go to do it. the sad thing is that i can't even just sit down and do the fucking work. no, first i have to write a list for myself of all the work that needs to be done, and the order i'll do it in. and i'll write things down in between items, like "eat lunch (if time)", or "email sara (if time)" (sorry, sara, there wasn't time. wince. i'll get around to it. hope dick 3 went well.) soooo much homework. and i still have to write the TWO (16) papers for english. ah. and scene.
julia came over saturday night, we went over korman's, korman and i wrote some music. i wrote my first decemberist-esque lyrics. yeah!
today i went over korman's, we watched in cold blood (it was good, just really long. and cmon, i read the book. i liked the book better. and now i really want to see capote. it comes out friday. philip seymour hoffman. yeah!) i went to work. i felt so exhausted. i dunno why. i've slept so much. meh. then back to korman's. we recorded the music we wrote, then listened to it, and decided that it wasn't music that either of us would really listen to. but, big surprise fans, have no fear! we'll still release it. it kinda sounds like robots laughing. and we wrote another song (at least the music) that actually sounds like music. yeah!
er, then off to my house. i took some pictures of korman. he left. i felt lonely. i ate some noodles. i put too much olive oil on them, so i didn't enjoy them too much. but still, i had the house to myself, and the station agent to watch. which i did. watch. and here are some pictures of korman.
awwwwww.
the station agent was really good. the soundtrack was pretty awesome, especially since it was one of those soundtracks w/ just atmospheric music and no actual songs. but it was really good. fun fact: the guy who wrote and recorded the soundtrack to "the station agent" is none other than stephen trask, who also wrote hedwig and the angry inch w/ john cameron mitchell. yeheha!
i just sounded that one out, out loud. i like it.
anyway, my family got home from philly (i forgot to mention this. my mom and sisters went to philly saturday morning and got back tonight.) as the movie finished, so i'm a bit less lonely now. actually, i haven't really spoken to them. or seen them, really, except when my mom came in to give me a shirt she got for me from old navy. i put it on. it's soft and warm and green. other than that, though, i haven't spoken to any of them. and my door is closed, and i have music on to drown out any noise they should happen to make. so... i don't know why their presence would make me any less lonely. er. lonely. which brings me to the livejournal question for this entry:
what are your favorite three things about people?
i know it's a sort of obtuse question, so i'll provide my list in the guise of an example.
(no order for me.)
- hugs
- smiles
- the cute, silly things that people do that make me smile. just slightly stupid, human things.
so once again, the question is:
what are your three favorite things about people?
