Ok. I'm going to write an article on Viking Chain Knitting.
I've got the go ahead from TI's editor, Mistress Doria.
I've got the sample article and writing guidelines.
I've put out the call on two lists for photos of pieces to include in the text and on the cover.
I've got my 2004 revised research paper and instructions.
I've got willing students to test my newly edited instructions. If I'm ready, I can try them out on Wednesday night at Laurensa's.
I've got a crappy camera that should provide decent pictures of important technique steps.
I've got apprehension. I haven't written an article for publication in more than 15 years and I'm not really an accomplished artisan in this form. I've got great research, but no great finished products. Hopefully other chain makers will come through and want their pieces' pictures published.
I know that I can do it and that I have all of the pieces I need.
I think I'll start with the easy parts, like the bibliography, and fill in around it.
