This is one of the ponds near my office, that I have to suffer with walking by each day at lunch.
It was the first picture I took this morning (and unfortunately the battery in my camera went dead about 10 minutes later...) and is just a snap shot in "green mode" which basically means the camera made every single decision except what would actually be in the picture.
This is pretty close to what I saw using my eyes, the sun was very bright on the water and everything in the shadows was very dark.
The office building I work in is horizontal line in the distance roughly 2/3 up the picture in the middle.
