Honoring the fallen.

Overall, I'd say Memorial Day Weekend was pretty good. I got out of work about 45 minutes early on Friday, and didn't do a whole lot that night, granted. But I made the most of the gorgeous day that Saturday gave to us. I went for a nice walk in downtown Kirkland along the pier. I saw a humongeous yacht there. It must have been at least 50 feet long, and 25 feet high. I can only imagine what it cost, but I'd guess $30 million. Anyways, it was gorgeous. Then I took a random trip up to Bothell to see my parents and Sparky. I ended up going out to lunch with my Mom. That was nice to have a chat with her. Sunday was all about Folklife at the Seattle Center. I went with Erin, her cousin Kim, her friend Hillary, and my 11 year-old cousin Katie. We had a good time, but we were out in the sun allllll day. I put on sunscreen; as did Katie, but in that constant sun you just can't avoid getting a little pink like I did. Katie remarkably didn't burn at all, but my forehead turned a light shade of pink. It's okay. Considering some of the nasty burns I saw there, we did quite well. I followed up the evening with a party at Avi's. Very good times, for a while. Monday was pretty much all about cleaning and getting stuff done. Overall a good weekend.

I haven't shaved since Friday. Oh, this is going to hurt in the morning.
