My Heart Will Go On…but I may not
Go on watching that is, because I am infuriated right now. The only thing we learned that was new and important was that Cas is looking for more souls. The rest - outside of Atropos - was plain awful.
First: “Are you going to stand there like the ugly girl at the prom?” - Maybe it’s personal because I didn’t go to my senior prom and I had never had a date to a dance but that hurt. Really hurt - don’t they realize that there are other reasons for people to not dance at proms? And what about the guys who stand at the sidelines? Why are they standing there? Why does it have to be the girls?? Shut up, Bobby! You might be upset but the writer’s are not and they should know better.
Second: Really, Balthzar, really? You’re going to remove “that stick” because she wants everything to be in the proper order? Why is she wrong for that? Why is it wrong to want order? I wasn’t fond of you to begin with, but now I’m really hoping you go the way of Uriel. Get lost.
Third: This episode felt like filler except for the ending.
Fourth: “I’m not the angel who’s in love with you.” DAMN IT ALL! ANGELS ARE ASEXUAL AND THOSE WHO DO HAVE SEX, FALL FROM HEAVEN. I’M SO SICK OF THIS STUPID THEME OF ANGELS/MORTAL CRAP. END IT. There isn’t enough caps lock to show my rage at this trend.
Fifth: I don't like it when people say “White Russia.” (It's just a personal annoyance, I think countries should be called by their names as often as possible, I do understand that we sometimes change names, but why White Russia instead of Belarus?) As a Russian Studies student, if you say White Russia to me, I either think of the alcoholic beverage or the White Army led by Aleksandr Kolchak against the Reds during the Russian Civil War. Then I think of Byelorussia (Soviet)/Belarus (now). Say Belarus for God’s sake, that’s what it’s called. Also, was that the whole “they’re in Russia” part? Because, Belarus is its own separate republic, the USSR collapsed nearly twenty years ago! What was the purpose of taking them to Belarus? What, Fate isn’t allowed there?
This whole season has just sucked. Just ugh, why do I keep watching? I should have finished The Coast of Utopia and gone on to What Is To Be Done or written more of my paper. This whole episode, this whole season…I’m either disappointed or angered at the end of an episode. Supernatural was my favorite show, now I have difficulty naming a positive thing about this season.
