That last paragraph is really just...transcendentally gorgeous. Your headcanon totally meshes with mine in terms of their respective thoughts on religion...Erik sounded just like Eli Weisel here, heh, and Charles, ever the Dawkins-esque athiest.

Poor Jason. : ( Can't they just kill the Strykers? It really would solve everything!

Thank you! I'm very glad you find it that.

It was very interesting to address the religious aspect. It often gets lost in fics, I find. (I'd say that Charles is an agnostic, rather than an atheist, though.)

Can't they just kill the Strykers? It really would solve everything!
Sometimes Erik's way is just the best alternative.

Beautiful chapter!

I found these thoughts about their visions on religion and faith really interesting, and heartbreaking in Erik's case. Being an atheit myself, I can't fully comprehend how difficult it must be (I understand it intellectually, but not with my 'guts' as you could say), but your writing pretty much conveyed the feelings.

I'm very frightened about Jason. I can't see Charles and Erik abandonning him to his parents, but they have limited options. I hope this problem won't drive them away from each other, and that Jason won't end up like what we saw in the movie - he's a so promising child.

And I fear the boys' reaction when they discover Erik and Charles' relashionship.

But I'm glad that our couple can have these moments of intimacy, and that Erik is somehow reconstructing himself.

Great job, can't wait for more!

I was just thrown into this Erik/Charles fandom rather violently...yesterday I believe? And after inexplicably falling in love with the pairing and burning my way through piles and piles of fanfiction (lol homework be damned), I came upon this and read it all in the last two or three hours.

I love it. So much <3 I refrained from spamming you with comments on each chapter to leave you one on the most recent, and I have to say that I really do adore this story. I love the way it's planned out and how everything seems to fit together and I love the hint of angst you add to the whole situation without making it overwhelming (although I am and angst whore and wouldn't really mind it ;) hehe). I really respect the way you managed to incorporate the romance into the story without shoving it into our faces every few seconds. It makes us remember that Charles and Erik aren't the only ones in this plot, haha :)

Why, thank you, and welcome to the fandom! I'm very glad to hear you enjoyed it. I'm quite the angst whore too, and this fandom has so many opportunities for practicing my fiction-sadism.

There should be more soonish!
