This chapter, with Erik's point of vue at the beginning, relieved me a little. At least he actually seems to believe what he told Charles about his return is true. I'll hang on to that.

Now I didn't understand what Charles expected by removing Erik's tatoo. That was cruel.

And Charles can react like a moron sometimes. Just kiss the man you love already, he's waiting for it!

And Jason... Progress, but still scary. Would love to see him interact with Erik!

Maybe I didn't say it the last time, but great job! Love it!

I absolutely agree that it was a cruel move - I believe Charles isn't always as sympathetic as he'd like to be. I think that he saw it simply as a useful psychological experiment, and didn't actually think it through. He doesn't quite have the insight into how formative Erik's past is (as in the beach scene when he actually uses "they are just following orders" as an argument for not blowing up the American and Soviet fleets - I still haven't gotten over what an idiotic remark that was in that situation).

Really glad you like it! :D

Oh Godddd...I devoured this chapter.
These boys have such a long way to go. Charles is like...THE Priveledged, pigheaded white liberal lol. "What its just a tattoo jeez Erik why is it so important." As my Charles RPer says, 'worst. telepath. ever.'

The scene with Jason was downright genius. He's a terrifying childdd....MOOOREEEE GOD SO GOOD I love the subtle macabre of it!

THE Priveledged, pigheaded white liberal
Basically, yes! But he's like that in the film - I find it quite funny how he and Hank, the white Christian academics, are both such arses, particularly when it comes to Raven ("but... blue?", "you're beautiful now") while Erik, who has a completely different perspective on things, is much more accepting.

Thank you! That certainly is high praise.

There'll be more before the end of the week!

Oh GOD this story! The way you write Erik/Charles is PERFECTION! Augh, it always kills me with those two because I can always see a point to both sides. Oh Charles! Don't be mad about Raven. I actually feel bad for her. It's gotta suck to know you're second best (and she has to know, Cherik had crazy UST) being a back up for someone else is never fun =( But I love her still, I hope she comes to see Charles. That will be an interesting meeting lol. This is one of the most well written fics out there, I absolutely can't wait for more!

Thank you so much!

I really like Raven too. I think that after she and Erik leaves Charles, they really do need each other.

More soon!

The way you portray Charles and Erik is very real in this - both are stumbling along in the dark really, not sure how to approach each other, and every time they get close they manage to sabotage themselves.

Great job!

I'm really enjoying this, and the way that Charles and Erik have such a poor understanding of each other, but such a vital connection. Jason is a scary child, but I think he really is, slowly, making connections with Charles.
