Hello again! As you can see, I'm
even worse with correspondence than you, they've kept me busy at the res so don't worry about it at all.
How did the Hallowe'en ball turn out? Lisa mentioned it to me, and of course you did too--did you enjoy yourself? Dress up, go with a date, that sort of thing? I hope you did, you don't realise until after leaving school how DULL it is in "real life".
The frustrating thing about the situation is also that it's not that I mind keeping up with some traditions, not that I know why they're there, but I don't mind. The thing is I don't know why my parents are making such a fuss. If Grandmama was doing it it wouldn't be much of a surprise, but I never thought my parents were this bad before. I must've just not been paying enough attention. The surprise factor just sort of exacerbates things.
A Cursebreaker! That sounds really interesting. Lisa
mentioned that she was thinking about going into Cursebreaking too, maybe the two of you will end up working together! That might be fun. Living at home is nice, too, at least if you're not fussed at too much. Where does your brother live, again?
OH! That's just awful! I'm glad no-one's too upset with me, but I can't believe they did that in response! I didn't think something like that would happen just because I was trying to come by for a visit! must be more stealthy Ugh, it's a good thing we didn't have to deal with all of that Ministry safety inspector nonsense when I was there.
I hope to come by for the first Quidditch match of the season, at the very least, but rest assured, I'm definitely going to make sure that I go through normal channels this time. Do you have any idea when Quidditch will be starting?

P.S. Thank you so much for the cakes, they were fully appreciated, believe you me. You've always been aces with that sort of thing, Mandy, and I hope you keep with it!
