Hypocrites in Society
One thing I constantly read about in the news is Animal Rights Activists, mainly PETA, but some others, especially those practicing the Vegan life style. I have no problem with Animal rights groups personally, though I think they go overboard, I can see how they respect animals as living things, and want to respect their life.
So here is what I find hypocritical. For the most part the same people who are Animal rights activists are also abortion rights activists. Think about this for a second. They are willing to fight for the rights of animals, but not unborn children. How many babies are being destroyed because of Abortion? How many women are being used and abused because of Abortion? And how many women have lost power because of Abortion? This is what I don't get. Animals have the right to live and be treated fairly, but unborn children don't? If you fight for animals because you respect their life and want them to be treated fairly, thats fine with me, but if you are also supporting Abortion rights, you are not respecting human life. And in my opinion, thats a bigger sin than not supporting animal life.
I know most of my readers are pro choice and will disagree with me on this one. I do want to write a little more on my views on abortion at another time. But this one I had to write on. I think in hollywood, the most guilty people of this are Pamela Anderson and Natalie Portman, which is sad because I really like Natalie Portman as a person in general. But all I can do is pray, and seek God's wisdom.
