My dad sent me an article about Ireland taxing plastic bags to try to encourage reusable one, along with this comment:
"Hooray for the Irish! At the Target checkout yesterday I told the clerk I did not want a plastic bag for my one-item purchase. In a mildly sarcastic manner she said, "So you want to save the planet, do you?" In all sincerity I said, "Yes. It starts with people like you and me." We love using our fancy burlap bag at the grocery stores."
For some reason, that made me smile real big. Thought I'd share.
