De weird and haunted shores

Tickets are purchased, days off work are booked - but somehow I don't quite believe this long-gestating vacation to the Land of Oz is really happening until I get on the plane next month. I feel rather ambivalent about this trip to world's end. I should be more excited but right now I care more about the fact that I'm going to miss the Lost half-season finale.

Also, Crazy Lady was fine while the flights were planned, but now she's leapt on to the cuckoo shuttle again, screaming about how the person we're staying with in Sydney is her old classmate, so we should be very grateful to her or something. I don't know how that relates to the Computer or the way she thinks all but one of her brothers let their wives wear the pants in their marriages, but she says it's all connected. Maybe she could cause an international incident and the government of Australia could lock her up and refuse to release her. Hee. Or maybe we could fly Oceanic Airlines and crash on to a mysterious island and she could be killed by the smoke monster. Oh, I can't tell you how awesome that would be.

Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page and a Peacock. Which is a funny sort of name for a psychological thriller. Cillian plays what could be his Norman Bates character. Scary!

Speaking of Hitchcock, scans from Vanity Fair's Hollywood issue.

Parnassus as a tribute to Heath. With Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell possibly juggling the role? Bizarre!

Chocolate: the war between dark and light milk. Delish! I need some Lindt now.
