As it turns out, there's a reason why Crabby Cat is Crabby Cat, and it's not simply that's she's old. Took her to the vet for the second time in less than three weeks for what I thought was a UTI based on her behaviour. It's not a UTI, it's kidney disease. It's not curable, but it's manageable, which is fair. The vet was more concerned that she lost 4 ounces between her two visits and that her heartrate is really really fast than anything else.
I mean, she's fifteen. When humans get to be eighty-odd years old, organs start failing and weird things start happening; one can only expect the same thing from cats.
Giving her a pill every day may be fun. We'll be having cat burritos with towels, I expect.
