guy: tittlefly: "I guess, but if you're really so afraid of that sort of thing, maybe the internet is not the place for you." Hmmm, right, how did that turned into not posting private information I'm not comfortable with? And how is that not a troll? It's like having some kids telling me to get off their lawn in my own backyard. I used terrorists as an example to point out how utterly ridiculous your statement is (fear stalkers online, not use the internet vs. fear terrorists offline, give in to all their demands. Actually it would be more accurate to use "fear terrorists offline, kill yourself" but that would just be full on trolling). Your failtroll is full of fail. As for black listing people, do you even realize how ineffective it is to do that on a site that is totally free and has no ability to limit the number of accounts a person can have? Unlike swagmonkey's assessment, there are plenty of facebook horror stories around. Some even made national news. And that's a site requires approval to add someone. What can they do indeed! It's not like people are innovative, and of course they will never abuse a system in unintended ways to hurt each other. People also will never lie and pretend to be someone else altogether right? And you will never hope to meet someone on OKC IRL or find someone you know IRL on OKC. Although, it kind of makes me feel better when there are people like you and swagmonkey around. Obviously you two will never able to think up much of anything devious.
me:that sort of thing happens, sure--- but it's wildly unlikely. the odds of it happening to someone like you are in the .00000s%. (although the odds of such crimes being perpetrated by someone like you are substantially higher.) never once in this thread have I trolled you. I don't need to. you being 30 and still harboring the sort of mind that does this^^^ is better than any antagonistic line I can throw at you. (in other words, for me to troll you would be like feeding a popcorn to an aligator. I reserve my hunger for men.) if you are so afraid someone's going to "invade your privacy" by watching things ANYONE can see that you've done online, it makes sense to watch what you do online. or at least investigate your privacy settings. if you are unable to do that, it's not safe for you here.
