Birthday party: appropriately quiet but not too subdued. Many lovely things, including inadvertently matching portraits, the glitteriest bath bomb, SEVERAL EXCITING BOOKS, and Muffy making the ortolans from Hannibal along with Armagnac to drench them in because she is nuts. And wonderful.
I am now trying to scrape together the energy for White Mischief, following a strategy of cake, more cake, coffee, a fried brunch, further cake, tea, about ten pints of water, pepsi, and paracetamol. Lounging around in bed in my Halloween costume and trying not to freeze.
