Spring is here and a ten million people (not an exaggeration) are out in it.

Today was lovely (outdoors). I made myself an excellent lunch (rice & shredded beef with steamed veg), the man who shortened my belt for me commented on how "healthy and strong" I looked ("you look really well now!"), I saw a girl on her bike who looked like the embodiment of a Swedish commercial for healthy living (laughing, blonde hair streaming out behind her, decidedly wholesome and summery), I tried on some excellent suit components but the people in the shop had paired up a much bigger shirt with the jacket and I couldn't be bothered to hunt around for the right size (t'was a vintage place and there's a good chance they wouldn't have had the right size anyway, but it was like a tent on me), despite the sudden and inexplicable destruction of half of the market (not the good half but still) the canal looks nice at this time of year, I visited Gay's The Word for Francis's t-shirt and had a nice chat with the upliftingly friendly proprietor, and came home to kick seven shades of shit out of delicious soup.

The downsides being: ALL TOURISTS ARE RUDE IDIOT COW BEASTS AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY WE CAN'T JUST SUCK THE MONEY OUT OF THEM AT THE AIRPORT AND THEN PUT THEM BACK ON A PLANE TO FUCKINGMORONVILLE IDAHO (yes they ARE all Americans, no you CANNOT just sit next to me and talk like a vocoder having a breakdown because you feel like it, there are empty seats and you are RUDE), WHY DOES NO ONE KNOW HOW TO WALK IN A CROWD UGH. Also my desktop computer is slow and so I didn't get to do as much artwork as I wanted to.

But in the balance a good day. After all: the locals continue to be brilliant advertisements for the city, even if the visitors choose to celebrate this by BEING ARSEHOLES.
