The more I think about it the more I am sure that being made fun of and hearing other people being made fun of by my mother for exhibiting any signs of fear at a young age has made her later attempts to tell me it was "okay to show fear" completely pointless and also shaped me into the bad-tempered, unsympathetic, steaming asshole that I am today.
Inlaws still mildly racist and still upsetting my boyfriend by implying that he's not as good as them b/c of lack of societal babyboomer advantages. All round I think parents are a bad idea and should be removed in favour of a functioning social net when one reaches the age of majority. Would far rather have money and courses than mummy, frankly.
Slept astonishingly badly and read a lot of Asterix books. Threw away more reminders of previous life. And the world turns on in space. Also, "The Storytelling Animal" was WANK from soup to nuts. Don't bother with it.
