Experimenting with talking about emotions while I have them and about their causes, rather than treating them as forces of nature that roll out of nowhere, control everything, and then recede like the tide. Also experimenting with the idea of talking about fear in the present tense rather than persistently behaving as if "being afraid" is something that only occurred in the distance past and as if anger is the only valid negative emotion.
... I'm not sure how well it's going, but I did *try*.
