There needs to be a lengthy German word for the conviction that the negative views people hold are all applicable to you, and that negative comments about your goals and personality from strangers are somehow more accurate than positive ones from friends and family. Because I KNOW it isn't just me that defaults to this.
The other day while we were waiting for lanyon Jess and I were killing time with make-outs when a lady in hijab who was I would guess in her early 20s rocked up beside us and basically went EXCUSE ME CAN YOU STOP MAKING OUT AND HELP ME WITH THIS MAP I'M LOST
Which was easily the most polite interruption to a make-out I've ever experienced.
