"Don't make a war with the internet. It will never, ever end well, and you piss off everyone."

Title quote from abbichicken there, regarding the bizarre decisions made by the DoJ and FBI regarding a ... file-sharing site. Current word is that Anonymous have retaliated by taking down several websites including the MPAAAAAAAAA and RIAAAAAAAAAAA. I expect to wake up tomorrow to find that, in the wake of arresting people in New Zealand because no one wants to argue with America, that the US will send marines into Russia to have a go at hackers and there will be a mushroom cloud somewhere around the time I meet up with lanyon tomorrow afternoon. Not entirely how I pictured the world ending when I was a much smaller person and Mummy Dear was taking me to nuclear proliferation protests but these are strange, weird times we live in.

In less jovial news than the US waging war on yet more intangible things (Drugs! Terror! The Internet! Next week, the concept of pessimism), I still can't look at UK news headlines without experiencing something like a logic seizure and having to have a lie-down so I've been watching my LEGALLY PURCHASED Jeeves & Wooster DVDs for escapism purposes and "research". They're not a great deal of help though because they're set in the wrong country and social class.

Today was already shaping up to be an unceasing stampede of minor irritations and then my iPod headphone socket decided it had had quite enough and wasn't going to play ball any more; I cannot actually function in society with blotting most of said society out with large headphones and loud noise, so I had to order another one and now I am painfully broke. In that spirit, I present some jewellery listings.

Appropriate for women (or men!) of any age, this necklace pairs well with cold colours and is excellent for evening wear and dinners.
