1. Computer virus situation: I went round to
wideband's last night at 7.30pm and left at 2.30am, slightly drunk and very tired. Mr WB has backed up all my data onto an external drive and installed a different OS and I am tidying up and scanning things for viruses etc once I've finished installing updates. Hopefully this will result in being able to start re-finding all my programs and querying all my passwords soon-ish/tomorrow. Hugely grateful to Mr WB for taking five hours to put up with me talking and lending me his external hard drive and generally being a top bloke. (Spent much of those five hours talking bollocks to one of his friends, who hails from the same neck of the woods as I do and has a similar opinion of Ye Olde Homestead).
2. I am SO! FUCKING! TIRED!
3. Watching QI and being charmed by Brian Cox and Sue Perkins.
4. Today I had a lovely wander through Camden Passage and Upper Street with
strangefrontier and spent quite a lot of money on STUFF. Not pictured: the delicious hot chocolate from Paul A Young, the silly/wonderful conversations, the sunshine, the strings of gems and pearls in the random Chinese shop, or "I think my justification for having 30 hats is 'fuck you'."
Paul A Young Chocolate Pearls: Legit fucking delicous. Also the lady in the shop - who was lovely and talkative - pushed some wasabi and white chocolate and apple and coriander paste chocolate in a dark chocolate case onto me and Holly despite our protests and was just like EAT THIS THING YOU WILL LOVE IT. Things I like about the Camden Passage branch of that shop: every time I go in there they FORCE ME TO EAT CHOCOLATE.
Tea sample tin from After Noah on Upper Street. They have a wall-sized collection of these from some warehouse in Docklands.
Green icing dye shoplifted from a cooking supplies shop because I can.
Perfume sample that smells of gin and tonic
Epic bling.
I spent a while informing Holly that my chav roots show in my love of bling.
I paid a small fortune for this perfume but definitely worth it. It has frankincense in it. It smells awesome.
Assailed by feelings of contentment and loveliness (and one attack of weeping over a scenic view) but because this is me with my brain this was generally immediately followed by BLIND TERROR about something indistinct. Thanks, brain chemistry!
Tomorrow: Go and see
cellardoor28 for Cosmos marathon and pub lunch, preferably after a significant lie-in because I feel like grilled ass at the moment.
