A beautiful sunny morning and alcohol for breakfast; manic delusions all the way to college which crumbled into the certainty that I will never be able to get and hold a job for my entire life and that everyone despises me and I should die; minor self harm while hiding in the control booth reading a manual on a particular model of noise gate that happened to be up there; in a stroke of pure genius I forgot the key with my previous work on it, but took both travelcards with me to college so I couldn't even ask Linds to bring it in for me. Actual class on how to use Logic Pro was sadly marred by my inability to remain awake throughout it; further involuntary naps and creeping coldness (both scared and amused classmates by sleeping in the live room with the equipment, out of sight, and then kicking the door open unexpectedly); have contacts to talk to re: theatre tech interviewing but need to finalise questions with tutor who ambushed me this morning to tell me he'd received my email (THAT IS NOT HOW COMPUTERS WORK, TUTOR) no thanks to bloody electricians turning lights on and off while I was trying to write down relevant information though.
Have started reading The Raw Shark Texts after a few false starts with various other books (my "books" spreadsheet is turning out to be a really embarrassing exercise in short attention spans, bad taste, and lack of commitment) which I am enjoying and making progress with so far and yet finding it slightly punchable. I can't work out what it is. It is not the narrator, it is not the standard of the prose, which is excellent, and it's definitely not the characters/world, which are meticulously and artistically drawn. I'm beginning to have the horrible suspicion the premise/story is making me pissy. Oh, and the central relationship. But it's early days yet and I do at least want to read the thing.
Here are some surprisingly musical noises I made with Logic this week:
#1#2 In Collegia Est.
ALSO I MADE SOME JEWELLERY BUT I'M TOO LAZY TO GET THE PHOTOS OF MY CAMERA SO YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT
