That is the website for my book, thank you clockworkwasp for making this happen. :D [coding mine, hosting & domain hers]

Spent most of today either in cellardoor28's house or travelling to and from it; had a couple of lovely cups of tea, watched some Attenborough, showed Sus videos alexdecampi had directed, whinged about Pies For Hands Guy and made use of her obscenely comfortable sofa. Also, Sus's house is VERY WARM, so the more wintery it gets the more I'm going to visit. :D (whatnoimnottotallyandutterlymercenaryyourhonour)

And as if it was the block in my guttering, since getting the book up for sale I have succeeded in making words come out of my face! Sat down on the train and filled five small pages with tiny blue writing of wholy self-indulgent Ariadne/Eames interaction which is probably horribly OOC I DON'T CARE I'M ENJOYING IT INSTEAD OF SLEEP-WALKING THROUGH IT.

Books I've read recently or am reading now:
"The Language Instinct" by Steven Pinker, "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" by Jess Lindsay, "The Sound Engineer's Handbook", "Theatre Sound", "Why I Write" by George Orwell, "Around the World in Eighty Days" by Jules Verne, "The Charioteer" by Mary Renault (re-read), "Survivor" by Chuck Palahnuik. There are other books around with markers in them. I am atrocious at sticking to one thing at a time.
Recently read: "Kraken", "The City & The City", and "Un Lun Dun" by China Mieville, while I was gone to ground.

8 Songs or Albums I listen to all the time:
1. "Songs of Leonard Cohen" by Leonard Cohen.
2. "Who Killed Amanda Palmer" by Amanda Palmer.
3. "Detrimentalist" by Venetian Snares.
4. "Folie à Deux" by Fall Out Boy.
5. "First Love" by Emmy the Great.
6. "Blood on the Tracks" by Bob Dylan.
7. "Love, Ire, and Song" by Frank Turner.
8. "Heretic Pride" by Mountain Goats.
(I tend not to like things by whole albums, so this isn't terribly representative)

8 Things I love:
1. BOOKS. Reading or writing. Even though the latter takes it out of you liek whoa.
2. MUSIC.
3. VAGINAS. ngl, folks, I am pretty fucking sold on vaginas.
4. TOM HARDY. I mean seriously look at his face listen to his voice look at that personnnnnn.
5. Designing shit. Especially when people buy it.
6. The dickfaces who put up with me as a partner (tintintin and mssamyx)
7. My Stanaconda, my bros, and my sister.
8. HYENAS.

8 Things I've learned this year:
1. If it looks too good to be true, that's usually because it is.
2. People put waaaaaay too much faith in a degree = a certain level of intelligence.
3. There are friends who will throw a tantrum the second you stop being careful of them, and there are friends who will stick by you regardless of what a prick you're being; it's better to cultivate the latter, and let the former get on with their own lives.
4. Editing is every bit as terrible and annoying and boring and hateful as I had expected.
5. I'm still capable of learning.
6. Publishing books is something I can do.
7. You can determine the wavelength of a sound by dividing the velocity (340 m/s) by the frequency (Hz).
8. I am way sicker than I realised, in the crotch.

8 new recipes I want to try and make by the end of the year:
I don't cook. Stupid meme.

8 Favorite online hangouts:
1. LiveJournal
2. Tumblr
3. Twitter
4. DeviantArt
5. The V (yeah, I went crawling back after a four-year hiatus)
6. Youtube
7. Wikipedia
8. Etsy

8 Projects I need (want) to work on:
1. I will make "all my HNC projects" one entry, shall I? There are a LOT.
2. Gnosis. Aka NaNo.
3. Yuletide!
4. Finding some work/work placements (winter may not be the best time to do this, although I could just stop being a sissy and go look for pantos who need techs) when Christmas gets a bit closer.
5. Finish "The Other Daughter"
6. Finish "Tame" (which needs such serious editing, it looks like it was written by a retard)
7. Learn the magical art of "not insulting people" a little better.
8. *thumbtwiddle* Money?
