Day 18 - Your favourite birthday, in great detail
This should be relatively easy as until I was about 25 all my birthdays sucked.
My 25th, however, was amazing. I rented a PUB! People came from ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND COUNTRY to GIVE ME THINGS and PUT ALCOHOL INTO MY FACE and ALSO COCAINE and then my EX-BOYFRIEND TURNED UP and I HAD SEX WITH HIM ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR.

AND THEN I MADE HIM FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT. IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER.
[I was actually late to my own birthday party, leaving everyone else to talk to each other and exchange cake; J K Rowling had recently announced that Dumbledore was gay, and there were a lot of jokes about that].
That was, however, not my actual birthday, just the party. My birthday day has been uniformly awful every year, for some reason or other. Possibly just because I don't like the damn thing. I had been hoping that being stuffed full of drugs and booze and sex and handed presents would make me feel more kindly toward it, but I prefer to be the centre of attention for a REASON, and "you got older" doesn't feel like a very good one.
... Maybe I should do a stand-up gig at my next one?
