Cecily loved her new life on the island, but she couldn't help but feel some agonizing want for the traditions that she had once had at home. She knew that at home, once you fell in love, or even just believed that you had fallen in love, you get married and begin your joint life together. And while she was still quite young at the age of 19, she could not help but feel that she was missing out.

She knew that she loved Jim, and hoped that he loved her... yet times were different on this island, the customs were much more open. Here, marriage did not have to last forever, and sometimes sex was just sex, but things would never be that way for her. The traditions of her home had been so thoroughly taught to her that she found herself now actually wanting them. She wanted to get married, but she did not want to be the one to say it. She wanted Jim to want the same thing as her, although she did not know if she would be able to handle it if he were to never ask her. Or if she were to see him today, she knew in her soul that she would let the information just slip from her grasp.

So Cecily made her way over to the rec room, where she hoped that she could find some good novel to sit down with and carry her mind away. And perhaps to avoid Jim, although she knew that he did go there often to find music. As she walked through the doors, the jukebox began to play.

Going to the chapel, 'cause we're
gonna get married!

She sighed and leaned against the doorway, trying to laugh so that she would not destroy that evil machine.
