i am so confused

so as im saying good night to my parents about 15 min ago my father uttered the following:

mary had a little watch
she swallowed it one day
so she took some Metamucil
to pass the time away

but the Metamucil did not work
the time it did not pass
so now when you need the time
you look up mary's...

.... i will never be the same

at least my family isnt boring
