Robyn, to put it simply, is awesome.

She’s like thirty-something but can still dance like nobody’s business. I don’t think I know enough about pop culture and music in general to really crank out a good review of her music, but I’m just going to go ahead and say that she gives the deteriorating world of pop music hope. Pop music has spiraled down into nonsensical lyrics and auto-tuned singing combined with a super catchy beat that somehow makes up for everything else that’s wrong with the song. But Robyn proves that the two don’t have to be mutually exclusive with songs like Call Your Girlfriend, Dancing On My Own, Fembot, and my personal favorite Get Myself Together that all boast clever, emotional, and meaningful lyrics and a beat that you can’t resist dancing to. Or in my case, since I can’t dance, bobbing your head to.
