Well, NanoSi Technologies is gone....for now. One of my bosses sent me an email akin to a man finding out he won the lottery after jumping off a building. The company applied for a SBIR (Small business grant) and we may have gotten the award. We're not sure what to do since we've officially closed shop and are shopping our patents around. I was told there was a chance it could come back, but I'm not even sure I would want to go back.
And that's not because I love my current jobs so much. I deliver for Jimmy John's four days a week.
http://www.jimmyjohns.com I make more tips with them, due to the number of deliveries I take. I typically make an extra $10-15 an hour with tips, with the base of $5.50 an hour. My other cashier/delivery job at Geovanti's,
http://www.geovantis.com pays a dollar more an hour, but will make $8-10 more an hour with tips. However, they pay me mostly in cash. So that's a plus. Also, Geovanti's allows me to interact with people more. I can smile at the pretty ladies, laugh at the drunk people, and make friends with the cute bartenders, who are sadly all taken :-(.
As for my future, I've got nary a clue. I need to talk to the school about becoming a non-degree student so I can take some classes, and eventually apply to somewhere. blah.
And as usual, girls are idiots. Especially ones that blow me off.
