A new year...a new hope?

Well, I hope everyone has a great new year, and keeps all their new year's resolutions. My New Year's Eve was pretty good. I worked during the day (considering I work in a bar, it's nearly impossible to get that night off, but I worked a good deal with them and worked all day *grin*). Dave and I went to his dad and Tammy's for a while, had some food, drinks, and then headed back to my apt. for some one-on-one, which was fun :) It's nice to have a boyfriend for once on New Years. I wish I could have gone see Emily like I usually do, but she had the misfortune of being mandated to work :(

Christmas Eve was good too. Since my family can't get their shit together, I spent Christmas Eve with Dave's dad and Tammy's. Oh my gosh, the food they had! Incomprehendable! They had jumbo shrimp prepared 3 different ways, homemade meatballs, spinach & artichoke dip, beef & cheese dip, smoked fish (an actual fish, head and all...yuk), roasted watercrests w/ bacon, Snicker's pie, cheesecake, chocolate fondue w/ all sorts of fruits/marshmallows/poundcake, flavored chips, and of course, the booze. They got me presents too, I couldn't believe it. The whole family played some fun games too. So, this is what it's like to be in a real family...loved every minute of it.

Christmas Day was just as good. I went to Dave's mom's for dinner, which consisted of steak, potato casserole, green bean casserole, and Texas Toast. Then we all relaxed and watched Spiderman 2 until I had to work. Yes, I worked X-Mas day, but I volunteered. I worked 10PM-2AM, and ended up making $150! Not too bad for a holiday.

Well, going to keep bumming it out at my G-parents. Catch you later.
