Cold, cold, cold . . .
I really feel like I will never be truly warm again. Spring is gonna feel really nice once it gets here.
These past few weeks have been busy for different reasons. Part of it has been because of the weather, school closings, delays and holidays. Another part has been because of Chorale starting back up again. A small group of women are performing in Mendelssohn's "Midsummer Night's Dream." Our part is very, very small, but it should be fun. I get to be a fairy! Or an elf! Actually, a hidden-in-the-background chorus singer is more accurate. We don't even get costumes. Still fun, even if I don't get wings or pointy ears.
I did really want pointy ears though. I even have my own pair from an old Halloween costume. Oh well.
Last Friday was a pretty momentous occasion. It was my very first parent/teacher conference. Now I officially feel old. We met with Boo's teacher, who I really like. She seems really cool and all the kids absolutely love her. She said that Boo is doing really great and they are going to move her up to the higher group in the class! I'm so proud. Boo was so nervous starting school, but she has done such a good job. I had to leave the school and go straight to work, but I was buzzing all day long, I was so happy. I think my co-workers were laughing at me a little.
One more load of laundry to put away, and then I need to go to bed. Chorale practice tomorrow night, so I need to rest up while I still can.
