He looks at the map on the PDA with it's three blinking red marks. He grins genuinely again for the first time since he and Seychelles got injured.

"I can swim across the lake with ease. My arm is still a little stiff, but I'll have no problem." He strips to his jeans, taking off the boots and shoving them and his jacket in his duffle bag.

"...There's still the risk of others, though. Don't know who's around us and also going for it."

He looks up to the other three as he tucks the tanto into his waistband in the back. "You and Matty can watch Leone or cover me. Maybe split up in two groups where one holds down the fort and the other comes with me along the shore?"

"Of course, that's always the risk, but don't you think you are being overhasty? I know you are not one to take your own health into account but what do you expect the rest of us to do if you do get some awful cramp in the middle of the lake and drown yourself?!" England pursed his lips together, looking at America with a cocked brow. Sucking in a breath and tried to calm down. "...You are certain your arm is alright?" he said and even he could hear the concern bleeding into his tone. Anxious to suppress it he continued on quickly. "I suppose I can cover you! That is, if Seychelles and Canada will be alright together, I can't imagine being too far gone unless something goes...wrong."

He trailed off, trying to instantly quash the wave of pessimism that suddenly washed up, supplying every possible thing that could go wrong and amplifying it by ten.

After a moment of staring blankly into space (w-well, America was a weirdo and everything, but, but when he swam it was really...), Seychelles was abruptly brought back to the situation at hand by the little red lights flashing at the corner of her vision. She glanced down at the PDA, shifted anxiously--and promptly ceased when her leg sent its pointed objection crashing through her nerves--and retrieving her weapon from beside her. At least there was the weight of it in her hands to comfort her.

"W-we'll be fine!" she snipped, doing her best to cover the fear in her voice with authority. "Just, if you could just go get it and bring it back, we'll be fine!" She gave England's back a narrow-eyed look, as if daring him to object.

"I ain't gonna drown, Iggy. My arm gets stiff every now and then, but I've had to do more than a little swimming with far worse before." America stretches to prove his point, only grimacing a tiny bit from the pain in his left shoulder.

"Ju-just cover me, 'sall."

He looks back and forth between Seychelles and Canada, seeing that wince from her when she moved her leg.

"You sure you're going to be ok, kiddo?" He eyes Canada's weapon...how on earth did he survive thus far with a pair of sticks? Thank God Seychelles has the uzi, but still...

He takes out the paddle, still caked in the groves with Spain's blood, and hands it to his brother.

"If anyone comes, try to not waste her bullets if you can avoid it. It's not a lot, but it has more force than the things you have."

"Then why don't you let Arthur or I go get it, Al?" Canada asked as he looked over his brother a bit, quirking an eyebrow. He sighed slightly at the conversation, it seemed a bit one sided. The paddle was taken in Canada's free hand. "You're looking a bit worse for wear."

Well, the other three all were. Matthew had recently shown up and he didn't know how long they had been here. A month at the least, maybe? Seeing as they all knew this place and what to do, which he didn't (well, not very well anyways).

"We'd be all right without you guys, we know what we're doing."

"There we are now, I am glad to hear I am not the only one with sense here." England looked at America deliberately but let it drop a moment later. It would not do to keep wasting time, he could worry all he wanted but when it came down to it America's idea wasn't as stupid as he would have liked to think.

"Canada, I trust you will mind Seychelles. If anyone does come around. . ." He looked to Seychelles then, his expression regarding her with uncharacteristic seriousness. "Don't hesitate to shoot them. As much as I would like to conserve our ammunition I would not like to risk your welfare. Either of you."

He turned away from them before he could witness their reactions, looking to America. "Come on then, git. Let's get on with this!"

He rolled his eyes, knowing that look. America handed England his PDA. "Yeah, yeah. Just hold onto that and try to keep up, old man."

He winks at the other two, a silent promise that he'll get the key, before running off into the water, pushing off once the depth was enough for him to swim in. He kept his arms stretched out for the most part, giving his injury as much of a break as he could, only doing a breast stroke to pick up his speed as he needs it.

"Worry about your shoulder, not whether or not I can keep up!" he snapped, taking the PDA and tucking it into his pocket, keeping his own out at ready hand in case any of the other blue dots drew nearer.

He didn't doubt for a moment that they wouldn't.

Watching America for a moment as he waded into the water, mindful to note how he progressed, he heaved a sigh when he deemed the other alright and readied himself to track America from shore. He'd have to move quickly to keep up, not fancying the idea of leaving him alone too long with only the tanto knife.

Canada shook his head a bit at the wink, not in disbelief just in exasperation over his brother. He hoped that America did keep that promise. After watching him swimming for a bit, Canada turned his attention back to Seychelles and shuffled a bit closer to her.

'Why were the weapons so random, anyways?' Matthew thought with a tinge of annoyance. A knife or firearms would be far more useful in this situation. Hell, evening fishing line would be great.

"I take it Al's been doing this the entire time?" Canada asked Seychelles.

Seychelles watched them go, unknowingly tugging the gun a bit tighter against her chest. She could feel the cold of the metal against her shoulder, bit her lip as she turned England's words over in her head. She--w-well, she hadn't shot since Mister Spain tried to--and that had--well.

She blinked herself out of it when she heard Mister (she paused, thought for a moment before she recalled the correct answer) Canada speak. She glanced back out at America, huffed.

"Yeah, just like he always is," she grumbled, doing her best not to remember the worst of what he'd done.
