[EVENT 2] -- RACE FOR COLLAR KEYS -- 2/6 through 2/20
[NOTE: To determine your nation's location at the beginning of this event, please choose a number between 1-35 and comment with it to this post. Picking the same number as another nation is allowed. If you are currently in a group and you want your nations to stay in that group together, please pick the same numbers together.]
Quiet, on the part of the announcements over the island's intercom system, was cause to be wary. An eerie kind of calm had settled over the island; as far as the inhabitants knew, nobody had died for quite a number of days, yet there had been no consequences. The tension settled over all, so when a familiar crackling sounded in the cool, comfortable morning air, it would be no surprise if all ears were trained intently on the devices.
"Good morning!" The speaker paused as if he expected a reply, then went on.
"I hope everybody has taken this time to rest up! You'll really need all of your strength for this one! Fight! Fight until the very end!"
There is a loud sound, a crack, a few thumps, and then a female voice sounds from the speakers.
"Please check your PDAs; they have all of the information you need for the next stage in this game."
Not surprisingly, each PDA begins to blink, instructions scrolling down the screen and repeating itself until the user closes or toggles the screen. A map also shows on the screen with three locations highlighted.
'You're in luck!' the message starts, 'three keys have been hidden on the island! Each key is good for unlocking your collar; however, each electronic key will work only once.'
'Just like a race; win for a valuable advantage -- beat back your enemies for the prize!"
