As he approached with the wok of seawater, the Nisse busied himself around him, flitting from ear to ear incessantly, asking if Iceland was alright, telling him that he sensed no auras nearby, wondering what that infernal sound was that had woken Iceland from his rest. Norway frowned and waved the fairy away irritably. He did not want to be asked pointless questions. It would be best to err on the side of caution and continue to keep watch.
He knelt down beside Iceland, placing the wok of sea water beside him. The beeping of Iceland's PDA continued. Reaching into Iceland's jacket pocket, he quietly turned the device off and slipped it back without a word.
"How are you feeling, Island?" He asked, pulling the scarf from around his collar to dip into the briny water. He lifted his brother's face up and dabbed at it gently, loosening the dried dust and blood. "Is it any better?"

He wanted to apologize for troubling his dear brother as well. Belatedly had he realized that they were no longer where they were before. There as no corpse to think about. There was the salty breeze from the ocean that made Iceland think of home. It was going to be another incredibly difficult while until he would see it again, and for his brother to see theirs. Quickly recover and be of more use, he demanded of himself. He was poorly timed and unprepared for the last battle, he cannot be a bother to Norway any further. And here he was, being treated for wounds he should not have received.
Looking down, he noticed his once white shirt was heavily stained in red. There was no telling whose blood it was but most must have came from the fallen nation. The nightmares from the night almost revisited his head but he shook them away, almost knocking Norway's hand away. "Ah." He quickly made an apology. Then he had remembered something. "Noregur, do you know what the beeping was about?"

"The beeping..." Norway said, thinking to himself; it would be no good to worry Iceland at a time like this, yet... to skimp on the truth would be deplorable. "It was bad news."
Iceland always seemed new to things, no matter how old he was. Perhaps it was simply from a protective older brother's point of view, but like his land - constantly renewed by volcanic activity - he seemed forever young. Still, Norway could not forget. Iceland was not really a child. He was strong, and had endured much over the years. He - they - could handle this, and handle it well.
"There is a map on the device," Norway said, pulling out his PDA and angling the screen so that it faced Iceland and the Nisse, who was hovering by his brother's shoulder. "It is broadcasting the locations of everyone on this island. I believe the beeping was to inform us of the new tool."
He was sure that Iceland would understand the implication, but that shadow of doubt, of worry -- the thought that this was too much too soon, that things would fail to work out, niggled at the back of his mind. He did not want to worry Iceland. He wanted to protect him.
He just hoped he was doing it the right way.
