They laid off another HUGE number of people today (we're now at less than half the number of employees we were at two months ago).
Last time this happened, no one from my department was let go. This time they took two of our guys (including my supervisor). A sad day, indeed. Licia and I still have our jobs, though. The first round was mainly newer people and the "under-achievers" who were doing just enough not to get fired. This time it was purely because they had to cut costs, so a large number of the people had been there over 5 years. Lots of tears.
And that's all I have to say about that.
