[It's been three days since Tsuzuki returned from his Mallynapping, and there's been little progress. He's been slow, morose, and mute. It's a little heartbreaking, not that Hisoka will admit to having a heart in the first place

[He hasn't expected Hisoka to willingly go to a beach during a heatwave. It's a long walk, especially in this kind of weather. It's worth it to experience the sea breeze again, though. He hasn't seen the sea in a long while.]
[Tsuzuki sits down by the edge of it, since staying close seems to be his modus operandi currently.]
[He looks longingly out to sea. It's probably cool too, which is more than what he can say for Hisoka's preferred sanctuary. Tsuzuki begins to undress, pulling his socks off first.]
...You can go play in the water. There's nothing to stop you. [And besides, it's sort of why they came. Tsuzuki's not at all himself lately. It'll be better for them both if he connected with something he enjoys. Meanwhile, Hisoka has a book! He can endure the rest of it.]
[But if he goes into the water now, his suit will be ruined! So before that happens, he needs to shrug out of his jacket and undo his tie. His eyes smile in Hisoka's direction, showing that he appreciates the suggestion.]
[The book catches his attention, so he gestures towards it. Tsuzuki can't read the title from where he's sitting.]
Oh this? [He hands over the book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, for Tsuzuki's perusal.] It's just some mythology from Draco's world. I'm trying to use it to figure out the limitations of his magic under normal conditions.
ghfjkjdeg that book. XDpurpledemoneyesJuly 11 2011, 21:55:28 UTC
[As he's given the book, he places a hand casually on top of Hisoka's. It's a quick way to tell him that he appreciates the answer. He flips through it quickly, because he knows he won't be able to once he's been in the water.]
OH right that's tomorrow! /doesn't pay attentionaphephobicJuly 11 2011, 22:13:57 UTC
Nothing, yet. That's part of the problem. I have to take everything he says and divide it in half to find the truth. Books are much more impartial. [He shrugs simply, and tosses a bottle of sunscreen at Tsuzuki's chest.] Don't burn.
[That sounds very complicated. It makes Tsuzuki wonder just what Hisoka and Draco talks about. Not like he's ever had a clue before.]
[He opens the bottle and smells the content. Mmm, coconut. That's as far as he goes with the lotion, though. It doesn't touch his skin. He hasn't even gotten out of his shirt yet, out of consideration for Hisoka. But since his partner doesn't seem to mind, he begins to unbutton it, looking away.]
[Tsuzuki can do what he wants. Hisoka's not really looking, and makes it a point to avert his eyes further once the shirt starts coming off. He'll be just as happy staying completely covered up, thanks.]
I'm fine. We brought water. We can stay until you're ready to go.
[Finally shirtless, he spreads his wings to feel the wind through his feathers. This is a good place to be. It's peaceful. Still, he can't help but wonder how warm Hisoka is. Today is almost as humid as the heatwave on their other case.]
[He notices that Hisoka is doing everything but looking at him, so ironically he ends up looking at him a lot.]
[Hisoka would rather not focus on his own sweating. It's undignified and really shouldn't ever be mentioned. Especially not by half-naked people. At least Hisoka's consented to wearing a tanktop for this adventure, though he hates having to watch his own bare arms move about as they open the cooler and retrieve a water bottle for Tsuzuki. The things one has to sacrifice for the sake of not passing out.]
Here. [He waves the bottle backward semi-blindly, still trying to avoid having to stare at his partner's skin in any untoward manner.]
[It's a good thing it's a full bottle, because he would feel bad about wasting their water if they had little of it. Tsuzuki wets his throat with it, before pouring out some of the cool water into his palm. If Hisoka's looking, he's not aware of it. When it comes to nudity, Tsuzuki is one of those people that are more or less comfortable in their own skin.]
[Since his partner isn't paying attention to him, the next part of his plan is a little tricky. Hoping it won't drip on the book, he brushes his wet hand against Hisoka's forehead.]

[I bet the water's great.]

[Sighing, Hisoka fusses with his umbrella and beach blanket, trying to ensure that his body makes no direct contact with any actual nature.]
