Date: April 4
Characters: The Master, open to any others
Location: It's complicated. Infirmary/Medical Lab, though, given the situation, a separate comment thread for the Control Room, involving people other than the Master, seems reasonable.
Summary: Time-space shenanigans! The Master waits for the rift to open.
Warnings: None at the moment.
The generator he'd attached to the back of the med lab refrigerator had taken longer than expected to power up to capacity. It was no matter, though; he was still within his self-imposed deadline. By his calculations the system would reach critical in the next few minutes. He'd been pleased it hadn't had any discernible effects on the colony up to this point, but the final exponential increase in power would probably be noticed. As such, he'd decided that the infirmary would be the best place to watch for anyone coming to check on the disturbance, assuming they would check in the control room first to find the source of the power issues.
He'd picked out a bed on the far side of the room, near the entrance to the examining room and the medical lab, and was lying on his back reading a copy of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy he'd taken from the library. He was halfway through and frowning occasionally. For someone with so much disdain for Oolon Colluphid, this Douglas Adams hadn't gotten it very much right either, even for fiction.
