It was hard not to have her curiosity piqued when she passed by the machine shop and heard noises. A peek into the viewport showed her that the kid was messing around with something. Yeah, this might be something she needed to check out, lest something end up exploding and damaging the colony.

As quietly as possible, she entered the room and moved to stand behind him. She watched him work for a moment before asking, "What are you doing?"

Robin didn't bother to turn around. He'd heard her approach, and guessed who she was. "I..." he said, carefully applying some soldering, "...am making a power adapter to recharge the battery in my T-communicator."

She stepped around to his side and began examining what was laid out on the work table. "Let me guess, you do this kind of thing often back home."

Robin glanced over at her, smirking a little. "Make power adapters? Not often," he said with mild, playful snark. "But yeah, I'm pretty much always messing around with tech. I like electronics. ...Usually I've got better equipment to work with, though." He blew on the soldering, setting the piece down to cool for a moment and reaching for some electrical tape.

She turned over one of his handcrafted devices and gave a small nod of approval. "I might need you for a little project, then. Think you can make a very powerful flashlight?"

Robin snorted very softly under his breath, faintly amused. "I think I can, yeah." He turned to face her, raising a sardonic eyebrow. "If you want my help, you can ask, you know. Nicely," he suggested mildly.

He crossed his arms, giving her a flat, unimpressed stare. "Uh-huh." After a few moments he shook his head. "...This is for exploring Morpheus, right? You're lucky I think it's a worthwhile project. ...Give me a couple of days."
