Avengers cross stitch, anyone?
So there I was, gliding through fandom on the wings of Inception, staring askance at the people talking about The Avengers and Steve/Tony, based on a trailer and months and months before the film would ever be released. I tried to get into what they were into, but I just wasn't that interested (except for Darcy fic -- she's the best). Until I suddenly discovered Clint/Coulson, of course. :P
A few weeks ago I was spamming Twitter with links to cool fan crafts, like nail polishes and eye shadow and things. Somehow I stumbled upon fannish cross stitch patterns on Deviantart, which led me to
weelittlestitches and their blog. They have a free cross stitch pattern for the Avengers! But they're old school comics Avengers, not film Avengers, and obviously I want Black Widow and Hawkeye.

chujo-hime, who posted pictures of finished Avengers cross stitching that included hir take on Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Agent Coulson.
I wanted them. So I became a ridiculous person, said CHALLENGE ACCEPTED, and did up a pattern for these three characters based on those pictures.

The patterns and colour choices for Black Widow and Hawkeye are pretty true to
chujo-hime's work in my opinion, but I found that the Coulson pattern didn't remind me much of him so I re-worked both the pattern and colours until he was the Phil Coulson of my ~heart.
Suggestion 1: Cross stitch patterns can easily be used for knitting! And like, probably a *bunch* of crafts that I don't do! If I can conquer intarsia one day, I'm totally going to knit some little dudes onto a scarf. \o/
Suggestion 2:
chujo-hime has also made a Cap/Iron Man Superhusbands cross stitch. If I were to make a Clint/Coulson asset/handler boyfrands cross stitch, Coulson's tie would totally be one of the purples from Clint's costume. I'M JUST SAYING.
Suggestion 3: From what I understand,
weelittlestitches is going to do an Avengers character release for the movie. I don't really know what that means? Or who it includes? Hopefully they are movie versions of all the characters! I would love that. Anyway, if you're interested, you can follow the creators:
