ATTENTION WINNIPEG FLISTERS:
RUFUS WAINWRIGHT IS FINALLY COMING BACK TO WINNIPEG!!!
::CLUTCHES PRE-SALE TICKETS TO CHEST::
ps: I got mine today through his website, the Live Nation pre-sale on Ticketmaster doesn't start until tomorrow, and the regular ticket sales don't start until Friday. SO IF YOU REALLY REALLY WANT TO GET A TICKET AND ARE WORRIED THAT THEY MIGHT SELL OUT?? THEN I SUGGEST GOING TO HIS WEBSITE. \o/
pps: I forgot to mention, but the Arcade Fire concert was PHENOMENAL. They were really into their performance, and were high energy, and kind of insane. Every time Win stepped up onto his monitor the audience swelled towards him like they wanted to snatch him down and consume him, there was just this awesome collaborative energy. I kind of wanted to throw my arms out and suck all the music into my body, or something. It was really weird.
William was, of course, amusing. At one point another band member was holding a drum up in the air and William was DRUMMING IT DRUMMING IT DRUMMING IT SMACKING THE SIDES WHATEVER IT'S STILL MAKING NOISE WHO SAYS YOU HAVE TO HIT THE SKIN, AMIRIGHT?? And later he picked up a tambourine and DANCED WITH IT LIKE IT WAS HIS SOLE PURPOSE IN LIFE. LIKE ALL HE'D EVER WANTED TO DO WAS DANCE WITH THIS HERE TAMBOURINE. All this while wearing a flannel shirt and track pants. :P
Ohhhh but the best part was when one of the guys (Richard?) encouraged us to keep singing along as the band left the stage, so we sang to them until they came back for the encore! IT WAS *~MAGICAL~*.
