I've been getting mail for the couple I sublet my apartment from, as one does. Mostly junk and free subscriptions, but recently there's been some tax stuff coming in. So I've got a pile sitting on a shelf and I was going to call the husband's mum in a few weeks to see if she wanted to come pick it up.
But today something came in the mail that needed to be dealt with immediately; the husband has been called for jury duty! Of all the things to happen when you're back-packing across the globe...

Hung out with the family for a bit tonight. I forget how awesome Little Brother is when I don't see him every day. I miss living with him. He's such enjoyable company!

Some guests for Manitoba Central Canada Comic Con have been announced, including Batman (Adam West) and Catwoman (Julie Newmar).
Me: Holy crap, Adam freaking West?
Dad: Julie Newmar. Julie Newmar. OMG Julie Newmar.
Me: Okay, when does this start again?
Dad: Hallowe'en. But tickets go on sale April 1st. We are buying our tickets on April 1st, Michelle, we have to we have to we have to we -
Me: OKAY, GEEZ.
Little Brother: TAKE ME WITH YOU?
Me: *pets family on heads*
