I've been spring fall cleaning, internet-wise. Purged lots of links and bookmarks to a) locked entries that I can no longer access, b) deleted entries, c) deleted journals, d) stuff I don't give a crap about anymore. It was kind of awesome.

Conversations With Dad People:
*talking about recasting Buffy/SGA with eachother*
Dad: John is Buffy.
Me: And McKay is Willow.
Dad: Oh, definitely.
Me: But who is Xander? Xander doesn't have any powers -
Dad: He's kind of weird and useless, he's just there, doesn't really - oh, he's -
Me&Dad: Carson Beckett!
Me: Hahaha, that was awesome. Oh, who is Teyla?
Dad: Um.
Me: Giles! Because he has books full of demon stuff, and she has contacts on other planets!
Dad: Yeah! And Ronon is - well, he's Faith, right? They always want to do the fighting.
Me: 'Thirty Wraith? I can take 'em.'
Dad: 'Let's go, let's go.' 'Hold on, we need a plan -' 'Stake them and don't get killed. That's our plan, now let's go!'
We also talked vaguely about race and gender issues in the Stargate and Star Trek franchises. I was able to apply knowledge gained via fandom! \o/ You guys make me smarter (or at least better informed).

Kind of want to vote in the advanced polls, just to get it out of the way. I might be too busy on the day (and considering I don't actually know when that *is*, I could simply forget altogether).

My job sucks the soul out of me. I hope my new position will distract me enough with all the things I need to learn that I will not notice how much I wish I were doing something cool and/or awesome with my life.
