This morning I thought to myself, "Self, this here glass is placed precariously close to the edge of the table and Jen's notebook. I hope the cats don't push the notebook and knock off the glass. Should I move it? Probab - ooh, shiny!"
Arrived home to shards of glass scattered cat-wise throughout the apartment.

Remember when I was talking about
job postings at work?
Last Monday I got the job I applied for. Here is how it happened:
Email from Training: Dear Michelle, we would like to offer you this position. Please respond indicating your response.
My email to Training: I would like to accept the position! Can't wait to hear from you again!
Dead silence for a week. Even my boss didn't know what was going on. At the meeting this morning, he said as much. "Don't know when she's leaving, but...yeah! Wish her luck!"
A few hours later I got an email saying my start date is Monday. Next Monday.
Uh, I don't know anything about the job? What floor are we on? Where and for how long will I be training? Is this job a different pay grade? They gave me the option of choosing my own start time, so that at least is something. I chose to keep mine the same - I assume I could change it later if I find my workflow doesn't mesh with a 7:30 start time.
But seriously, you guys, it's like walking in blind. Well, I know I need to use a computer! That's something, I guess. D: And I won't have to move to the 8th floor and then to...wherever it is I'm going, so that's a bonus.

I'm pretty caught up on tv: SGA, Ugly Betty, House (this season is so much better than last season!), Due South (yes, I *finally* watched the last three episodes and now I want my big gay show back! D:), and I've started on Twitch City.
Also I've re-watched the first 8 episodes of The X-Files and holey moley am I full of nostalgia! Oh, wee Gillian Anderson! David Duchovny when I still respected you! Show while you still told creepy stand-alone fright eps! *pets DVDs* Now I just have to code more episodes. DDDDD:
EXCUSE ME WHILE I GO BANG MY HEAD AGAINST A WALL.

Some days all you want to do is sit here and refresh your Twitter. Other days you just want to spam it with nonsense.
Yet other days all you want is a mother fucking nap.
TODAY IS ALL OF THOSE DAYS. BUT I HAVE HOUSEWORK.
NEVER ENDING HOUSEWORK.

Actually, what I kind of want to do is read more of A Dirty Job because it is seriously, seriously fucking hilarious. I need icons, stat!
...okay, fine, so I'll probably make some eventually (but I haaaaave nooooo rooooooom for theeeeeeeem).
But anyway, if you haven't read the book, you should. And then you should read everything else by Christopher Moore. GET YE TO A BOOK STORE OR LIBRARY OR FRIEND'S HOUSE! *points imperiously in the general direction of McNally Robinson*
