It doesn't REALLY matter, but I'd watch the first series of Torchwood before Doctor Who. So you know about Torchwood and more about Jack and stuff. Plus when Jack shows up in s3 Who, it's right after the ending of s1 of Torchwood, so it goes together nicely.

Hahaha, oh, I'm on episode three of DW and I'm like...dude. I don't wanna switch! When does Jack show up in S3? Because, like, I need to watch DW faster than Jen so that she doesn't get ahead and spoil me. And she has no interest in watching Torchwood so I'm...GONNA BE WATCHING A LOT OF TV I GUESS. DX

Jack shows up in the third-last episode of that season -- it's called Utopia, and you really don't need to watch Torchwood first if you don't want to. I'm just dorkily enthralled with how they dovetail together.

Maybe I should watch the episodes back to back? Like, 3x01 Who then 1x01 Torchwood? Because I would like to watch the plots come together. Or...should I watch all of Torchwood before 'Utopia'?

well, it's just that the end of Torchwood goes with Utopia. So whatever. I mean, it's not NECESSARY. You could probably get away with watching just the end of Torchwood.

I find it hilarious that I'm angsting over what order to watch television in.

I think I'll watch Who until right before Utopia, and then all of Torchwood, and then Utopia to the end. Is that sense-making?
