Concerts!
The Rankins were SO GOOD. It was fun, it was energetic, people were on their feet for the last four or five songs of the show - it was fantastic. Ran into inkdot, which was amazing because I figured I totally wouldn't, or that I wouldn't recognize her or something, but it worked out! (in hindsight, I totally could have gotten her to sign your CD and then somehow gotten it back to you I SUCK I'M SORRY)
One thing I really want to comment on, though: whomever did the lights and sound for the concert did an awesome job. Very good sound (even if the gigantic speakers blocked part of the stage - I had no idea there was a fiddler and a keyboardist until they started playing :D) and the lights were just...yeah. Fantastic. Spotlights on soloists, stage lights when they did background, dark stage when no one else was singing. WAY BETTER THAN MTS CENTRE YOU GUYS. MTS Centre blows chunks compared to the professional job I saw last night. A+++ CONCERT HALL.
Hawksley Workman is sold out for March 9th. They've added a show for the 8th. You can't buy the tickets on-line. DDD: IS ANYONE ELSE GOING? I'll talk to my dad, see if he wants to go, see if Jen wants to go, and then I guess I'll inquire at the MTS Centre Ticketmaster place? I have no idea why I can't get the tickets online. D:
OMG JANN ARDEN AT MTS CENTRE APRIL 30TH!!! Very late birthday present to myself? I THINK YES. Or maybe I'll tell Dad that's what I want for my birthday and HE can buy ME tickets this time, lol! (I will probably still be coerced into making the Hamburger Helper though, as it's tradition now)
