Of Winter and power outtages...

So the power goes out in my building right before I start to get ready for class, so I'm fumbling around in the dark trying to find my boots and my books and my knitting (because it will keep my hands occupied during class), and then I start worrying because our heat is electric so if the power is out for long it's gonna get mighty cold in here while I'm gone, and I have to get my outdoor clothes on in the hallway because the hall lights are run on generator back-up and my neighbours are giving me weird looks and I don't even know where our lighter is if I need to light candles and we have no flashlight omg!!

*dies*

And I'm almost finished another scarf and I realise I bought way too much wool, but I'll just return what I don't use. C'est la vie. But I should make a matching pair of mitts and a touque since I lost the touque that matches my current mitts somewhere in Polo Park. Maybe, in a wild pique of fate, Jen will find my hat at work tonight and bring it home for me. *sighs dramatically*

Anyway. Yes. Snow.
