Hell's bells, Alfred...

It's bad enough that he accidently planned two dates for the same night, but this. Is. Ridiculous.

He dives behind the couch, barely dodging the toad demon's acidic spit. He didn't want this thing trashing his apartment, but demons weren't exactly the easiest thing to defeat. The best thing he could do at the moment was deflect it's attacks. He ( Read more... )

"Mon Dieu...! My apple pie," he cries, looking shocked in his frilly apron. "Sweet America, you have destroyed it, the beautifully creamed surface and magnificently crispy crust, the joyous scent of baked apples..." He sweeps his hands up and clenches them as he finishes. France sighs, growing dejected. "Oh, sweet, it is gone forever."

... He stares at this... drama queen.

"I didn't mean to blast down the wall if that's what you mean. And what did you call me?"

"I don't care about the wall, it is a lesser evil! My pie, my pitiful pie. Pitiful, pitiful! I spent so much passion on it and now it is in pieces." He seems to come back to himself, and brushes aside some tears (or does he?). "I called you nothing out of the ordinary."

"I thought I heard you call me 'America'. My name's Alfred, America is a country... Wait, pie?" He looks ... oh great, his backside is covered in pie.

Sits up to see Arthur! ... In Victorian clothing. Okay, a little out of the ordinary.

"Hey, Kirkland!"

Russia rests his chin on his fist, watching what looks like America appear out of nowhere to crash through a wall on one of the pale screens in his camera room. The screens around the edges of the walls flicker and crack periodically, jumping in and out of functionality as HQ moves around or various rooms interfere with the electronics.

Moments later he's downstairs, through the electronically locked safedoor of the room to stand over him with a somewhat deadpan expression. Normally he might try for concern, or kindness, or even amusement, but lately he's been mirroring his twin more strongly than normal and he's not inclined to be especially warm. He does hand him a cold pack, though.

"... what threw you?" He raises his eyebrows, glancing at the hole with interest.

He looks up at the stranger before taking the icepack, holding it against his head. "Thanks. A spell backfired on me."

Russia does look amused this time; clearly this can't be America, or at least any sort of 'normal' America.

Thinking about the USA is making his good mood evaporate, though, so instead he offers a hand to help him up. "A... spell, ne. Mmh, it must have backfired quite a bit more than you meant it to, because I don't think you meant to end up here, da, whatever you were doing."

Takes the hand and pulls himself up. "No. I was intending on throwing the demon I was fighting through a wall, really." Sheepishly laughs.
